I’m Sarah Jane and I’m passionate about empowering small companies to achieve great things in their Sales & Marketing campaigns.

About me and SJE Virtual
Following a 14-year tenure with an SME which later became the second largest global company in its sector, I realised that I had been blindsided by change. While intially working with a small global team, I enjoyed the cross-functional skills, fluent communication and strong teamwork. However, following significant growth and acquisition, I found myself missing the impact I could make in smaller organisations.
Having over 25 years of Sales and Marketing experience and in my last position as Director of Commercial Development, I considered how my skills and experience could be used to help smaller companies that face resource constraints.
From a background in Marketing that led to Sales, I decided to combine these two specialist areas by transitioning to freelance Sales Support and Digital Marketing. Following my passion for marketing, I was keen to master the fast-evolving world of digital marketing strategies and undertook intensive training from CSS web design to the complexities of content marketing.
Sales and marketing should go hand in hand, but this is rarely the case. The inherent differences in the roles, priorities and approaches can often clash, from misalignment to competing for resources and a lack of shared understanding. When working from two different perspectives and goals, this can result in decreased sales, missed opportunities and a decline in revenue.
SJE Virtual was born out of a desire to help small business owners that have limited time and resource to dedicate to their sales and marketing initiatives and require support on a freelance basis. Having the ability to think like a salesperson – understanding the journey from the customer’s perspective, has made me a more effective marketer. I know the questions to ask, understand the pain-points and solutions to offer, together with addressing customer needs while focusing on revenue and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Bringing over two decades of commercial experience, working with both small companies and large global corporations, I offer a wealth of experience combined with a passion to help small businesses achieve growth in brand and revenue.
